ATTENTHIVE PRIVACY POLICY

Effective Date: May 5, 2026

Last Updated: May 5, 2026

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we collect, use, disclose, and retain information as described in this Privacy Policy.

1.2. Albeck Intelligence LLC, a New York limited liability company operating as AttentHive ("AttentHive," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what choices you have.

1.3. This Policy applies to all users of the AttentHive platform, mobile application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service").

1.4. If you have questions, you can reach us at support@attenthive.app.

2. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

2.1. We collect information in three ways: information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the Service, and information from third-party services you use to access the Service.

2.2. Depending on what you choose to enter, User Content may include sensitive personal information, including health-related information, information about minor children or dependent individuals, care routines, medication-related notes, disability-related information, or other private details.

2.3. We may infer approximate location from your IP address for security, fraud prevention, analytics, and service operation purposes. We do not collect precise GPS location unless expressly stated in the Service.

2.4. Information You Provide Directly

  • When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
  • When you add a care recipient to a Hive, you may provide information about that individual, animal, or other care subject, including their name, species or type, relevant care notes, and any other details you choose to enter. Care recipients are not users of the Service and do not have accounts.
  • When you or a Hive member log an activity, we collect the content of that log, including the type of activity, time, notes, and any photos or media you attach.
  • You may optionally upload a profile photo for yourself or a care recipient.
  • If you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the content of that communication.

2.5. Information Generated by Your Use of the Service

Hive Membership Data. We collect information about the Hives you belong to, the members of those Hives, and the care recipients associated with each Hive.

Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, pages visited, and actions taken, for the purpose of improving the Service.

Device and Technical Data. We collect your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and similar technical information when you access the Service.

Notification Preferences. If you enable web push notifications, we store a push subscription token associated with your account and device in order to deliver notifications.

2.6. If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information from Google as described above. We do not receive or store your Google password. Your use of Google's sign-in service is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

3. INFORMATION ABOUT CARE RECIPIENTS

3.1. AttentHive is designed to coordinate care for individuals, animals, and other care subjects. When you add a care recipient to a Hive, you may enter personal information about that recipient, including, in some cases, a minor child.

3.2. We treat information about care recipients with the same care as information about users. We do not use care recipient information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Service to your Hive.

3.3. If you enter information about another person as a care recipient, you represent that you have appropriate authority or consent to share and store that information within your Hive, as described in our Terms of Service.

3.4. You are responsible for ensuring that you have lawful authority or appropriate consent to provide information about any care recipient or other individual. AttentHive does not verify parental, guardian, custodial, veterinary, property, or other authority, and is not responsible for resolving disputes among Hive members or other persons regarding access to care-recipient information.

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

4.1. We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Provide and Operate the Service. To create and manage your account, operate Hives, store and display care logs, and deliver core functionality of the Service.
  • Enable Collaboration. To facilitate the sharing of care-related information and activity among authorized members of a Hive.
  • Communicate with You. To send account-related communications, security alerts, service updates, and, where permitted, product-related messages.
  • Deliver Notifications. To provide email and web push notifications regarding Hive activity in accordance with your preferences.
  • Improve and Develop the Service. To analyze usage patterns, troubleshoot issues, and enhance the performance, functionality, and user experience of the Service.
  • Ensure Security and Integrity. To detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorized access, misuse, fraud, or other harmful activity.
  • Comply with Legal Obligations. To satisfy applicable legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including obligations under the New York SHIELD Act.

4.2. We do not sell personal information and do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under applicable California privacy law. We do not use personal information, including care recipient information, for advertising purposes or provide such information to advertising networks.

4.3. We collect, use, and retain personal information only to the extent reasonably necessary and proportionate to provide, operate, and improve the Service, communicate with you, ensure security, and comply with legal obligations. We do not collect or use personal information for purposes that are unrelated to the functionality of the Service.

4.4. Where required by applicable law, we process personal information based on one or more of the following legal bases: performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, protection of our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and your consent.

4.5. We may also use aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for analytics, research, and service improvement purposes.

5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

5.1. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

1) Care log activity, care recipient information, and member profiles are visible to other authorized members of the same Hive. You control who is invited to your Hive.

2) We work with a limited set of third-party vendors who process data on our behalf solely to help us provide the Service. These vendors are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. Our current service providers include:

  • Supabase: Database hosting and file storage (care logs, photos, account data)
  • Vercel: Application hosting and serverless function execution
  • Resend: Transactional email delivery (account verification, notifications)
  • Google: OAuth-based sign-in (if you choose to use it)

We may update our service providers from time to time. Where required by law, we will update this Policy or provide notice of material changes.

3) We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AttentHive, our users, or others.

4) If Albeck Intelligence LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

5) We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.

6. DATA RETENTION

6.1. We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, we will delete or de-identify your personal information and User Content within a reasonable period, except where retention is required or permitted by law, or where necessary to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or maintain security.

6.2. When you request deletion of your account using the in-app account deletion feature, we schedule deletion for thirty (30) days after your request. During this thirty-day grace period, your account is restricted but recoverable. You may cancel the scheduled deletion at any time during the grace period by signing in and using the cancellation option, which will fully restore your account. If you do not cancel, your account and associated personal information are permanently deleted at the end of the grace period in accordance with the practices described in this Section 6 and Section 7.

6.3. In general, we delete or de-identify account information and User Content within approximately thirty (30) to ninety (90) days following account deletion, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted for legal, regulatory, backup, security, or operational purposes.

6.4. Information about care recipients is retained for as long as it is associated with an active Hive. When a care recipient is removed from all Hives by authorized Hive members, associated data is deleted or de-identified within a reasonable period consistent with the practices described in this Policy.

6.5. Please note that deleted information may persist for a limited period in secure backup systems before being permanently removed. During this time, such information will not be used for any purpose other than maintaining system integrity, security, and disaster recovery.

6.6. We may retain limited information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud or abuse, and enforce our agreements.

7. EFFECT OF ACCOUNT DELETION ON SHARED DATA

7.1. AttentHive is a coordination tool. Some information you contribute to a Hive — including activity logs you create about care recipients shared with other Hive members — is, by design, part of a shared record that other Hive members rely on. To preserve the integrity of that shared record while honoring your deletion request, we apply the following practices when your account is permanently deleted:

7.2. Activity Logs on Shared Care Recipients. Activity logs you have created about care recipients that are shared with other Hive members are retained, but your name and account identifiers are removed from those logs. The logs continue to appear within the Hive without attribution to you. This ensures that other Hive members retain the care history they depend on while your personal identifiers are removed.

7.3. Care Recipients You Co-Own. If you are a primary owner of a care recipient that is co-owned by other Hive members, ownership of that recipient is transferred to another existing owner before your account is deleted. The care recipient and its associated information remain available to the Hive.

7.4. Care Recipients You Solely Own. If you are the sole owner of a care recipient with no other co-owner, the care recipient and its associated information are deleted along with your account.

7.5. Pending Invitations. Invitations you have sent that have not yet been accepted are deleted. Invitations you have received but not yet acted upon are disassociated from your account.

7.6. These practices apply when your account is permanently deleted at the end of the grace period described in Section 6.2. They do not apply during the grace period itself, during which your account remains recoverable.

8. SECURITY

8.1. We implement commercially reasonable administrative, technical, physical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information under our control, including safeguards designed to protect the private information of New York residents consistent with New York’s SHIELD Act.

8.2. Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and your use of the Service is at your own risk.

8.3. If you believe that your account or information has been compromised, you should notify us immediately at support@attenthive.app so that we can take appropriate steps to investigate and respond.

8.4. In the event of a security incident involving personal information, we will provide notice to affected individuals and, where required, to applicable authorities, in accordance with applicable law.

9. YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

9.1. You may update your account information at any time through your account settings.

9.2. You may control web push notifications using your device or browser's native notification settings. You may opt out of care log notification emails and Hive invitation emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the footer of those emails or by emailing unsubscribe@attenthive.app. Even if you opt out of non-essential notifications, we may still send you communications that are essential to your account, such as security alerts and account verification emails.

9.3. You may request deletion of your account by using the account deletion feature in the Service or by contacting us at support@attenthive.app. The deletion process, including the thirty-day grace period and your ability to cancel, is described in Section 6.2. The effect of deletion on data shared within your Hives is described in Section 7. Upon permanent deletion, we will remove your personal information in accordance with Section 6.

9.4. If you are a California resident, you have certain rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act.

The Service is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be processed and stored in the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.

9.6. Some web browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (“DNT”) signal that you can enable to indicate your preference regarding tracking across websites and online services. Because there is no consistent industry standard for interpreting DNT signals, the Service does not currently respond to or honor DNT signals.

10. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

10.1. AttentHive is intended for use by adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Care recipients who are minors are not users of the Service and do not create accounts, information about them is entered by adult users.

10.2. Information about minor care recipients is provided solely by adult users, and we rely on those users to ensure that such information is collected and shared in compliance with applicable law.

10.3. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at support@attenthive.app and we will take prompt action to remove that account.

11. THIRD-PARTY LINKS AND SERVICES

11.1. The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.

12. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

12.1. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date above. For material changes, we will provide reasonable advance notice, such as email or in-app notification, where required by law. Your continued use of the Service after such updates constitutes your acknowledgment of the revised Policy.
