AttentHive Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 8, 2026 Last Updated: April 8, 2026
1. Introduction
Albeck Intelligence LLC, a New York limited liability company operating as AttentHive ("AttentHive," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and what choices you have.
This Policy applies to all users of the AttentHive platform, mobile application, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Policy.
If you have questions, you can reach us at support@attenthive.app.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information in three ways: information you give us directly, information generated by your use of the Service, and information from third-party services you use to access the Service.
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
Account Information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you sign in using Google OAuth, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from Google.
Care Recipient Information. When you add a care recipient to a Hive, you may provide information about that individual, animal, or other care subject — including their name, species or type, relevant care notes, and any other details you choose to enter. Care recipients are not users of the Service and do not have accounts.
Care Logs and Activity Data. When you or a Hive member log an activity, we collect the content of that log — including the type of activity, time, notes, and any photos or media you attach.
Profile Photos. You may optionally upload a profile photo for yourself or a care recipient.
Communications. If you contact us for support or feedback, we collect the content of that communication.
2.2 Information Generated by Your Use of the Service
Hive Membership Data. We collect information about the Hives you belong to, the members of those Hives, and the care recipients associated with each Hive.
Usage Data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including features used, pages visited, and actions taken, for the purpose of improving the Service.
Device and Technical Data. We collect your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and similar technical information when you access the Service.
Notification Preferences. If you enable web push notifications, we store a push subscription token associated with your account and device in order to deliver notifications.
2.3 Information from Third-Party Sign-In Services
If you choose to sign in using Google, we receive basic profile information from Google as described in Section 2.1. We do not receive or store your Google password. Your use of Google's sign-in service is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
3. Information About Care Recipients
AttentHive is designed to coordinate care for individuals, animals, and other care subjects. When you add a care recipient to a Hive, you may enter personal information about that recipient — including, in some cases, a minor child.
We treat information about care recipients with the same care as information about users. We do not use care recipient information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the Service to your Hive.
If you enter information about another person as a care recipient, you represent that you have appropriate authority or consent to share and store that information within your Hive, as described in our Terms of Service.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide the Service — Create and manage your account, operate Hives, store and display care logs, and deliver notifications
- Enable Collaboration — Share care log activity with other authorized members of your Hive
- Communicate with You — Send account-related emails, security notices, and, if you opt in, product updates
- Send Notifications — Deliver email and web push notifications about Hive activity based on your preferences
- Improve the Service — Analyze usage patterns to understand how the Service is used and identify areas for improvement
- Ensure Security — Detect, investigate, and prevent unauthorized access, abuse, or other harmful activity
- Comply with Legal Obligations — Meet our obligations under applicable law, including New York's SHIELD Act
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your information or care recipient information for advertising or share it with advertising networks.
5. How We Share Your Information
We share your information only in the following circumstances:
5.1 Within Your Hive
Care log activity, care recipient information, and member profiles are visible to other authorized members of the same Hive. You control who is invited to your Hive.
5.2 Service Providers
We work with a limited set of third-party vendors who process data on our behalf solely to help us provide the Service. These vendors are contractually required to protect your information and may not use it for their own purposes. Our current service providers include:
- Supabase — Database hosting and file storage (care logs, photos, account data)
- Vercel — Application hosting and serverless function execution
- Resend — Transactional email delivery (account verification, notifications)
- Google — OAuth-based sign-in (if you choose to use it)
5.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that doing so is required by applicable law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of AttentHive, our users, or others.
5.4 Business Transfers
If Albeck Intelligence LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information for any other purpose with your explicit consent.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information and User Content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal information and User Content within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it by law or where retention is necessary to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements.
Information about care recipients is retained as long as it is associated with an active Hive. When a care recipient is removed from all Hives by authorized Hive members, associated data is deleted in accordance with our deletion schedule.
7. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS), access controls, and secure cloud infrastructure.
However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information, and you use the Service at your own risk. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately at support@attenthive.app.
In accordance with New York's SHIELD Act, we maintain reasonable safeguards to protect the private information of New York residents.
8. Your Choices and Rights
8.1 Account Information
You may update your account information at any time through your account settings.
8.2 Notifications
You may manage your email and web push notification preferences within your account settings. Even if you opt out of non-essential notifications, we may still send you communications that are essential to your account — such as security alerts and account verification emails.
8.3 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account by contacting us at support@attenthive.app or using the account deletion feature in the Service, if available. Upon deletion, we will remove your personal information in accordance with Section 6.
8.4 California Residents
If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@attenthive.app.
8.5 Residents of Other Jurisdictions
We are committed to honoring the privacy rights of users in all jurisdictions to the extent required by applicable law. If you have questions about your rights, please contact us.
9. Children's Privacy
AttentHive is intended for use by adults (18 years and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Care recipients who are minors are not users of the Service and do not create accounts — information about them is entered by adult users.
If you believe a child under 13 has created an account without parental consent, please contact us at support@attenthive.app and we will take prompt action to remove that account.
10. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. This Privacy Policy does not apply to those third parties, and we are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will provide additional notice — such as an email notification or an in-app alert — before the change takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
